About

Your Therapist and Blogger

Hi my name is Alan

I have been a massage therapist since 1996, an Active Release Practitioner and Personal Trainer since 2006.
I was trained in Calgary Alberta Canada, with a 1000-hour massage diploma.

And have continued my education, whenever and where ever I can. Taking Active Release courses, Personal Training, Sport specific training, all over the country and into Canada. I continuously read on subjects in my fields and others to learn more on how I can help others be free of pain.

One of the main reasons, I have always felt that I made a good therapist and trainer is that I have gone through many of the same aches and pains as my clients (Back pain, knee pain, sciatica, TMJ, Migraines Tennis elbow and the list goes on) and played many of the same sports (Golf, Hike, Pickleball and in my youth softball, hockey, speed skate, Kayak, canoe, and many others tried) and I put the knowledge that I have acquired over the years and apply it in my practice.

One of the things that I tell my clients if I can’t help you alleviate at least some of your pain, it may be above my pay grade. Meaning we may have to find a specialist, that has a bit more knowledge than me.

With that said, I have found over the years that the combination of these 3 modalities have produced great results in achieving pain reduction if not elimination. Along with Nutrition can go along way in finding a solution to our, aches pains and other ailments.

So, go out enjoy life and be good humans!

And Yes I’m an Avid Golfer with a single digit Handicap.
